Formerly part of George Vanderbilt’s “Pisgah Forest,” Looking Glass Rock is now one of the most well-known natural landmarks along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and received its name from the glare of sunlight that reflects off its 400-foot, sheer granite cliffs when covered by water or ice. |
