Description
One of the most popular areas in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is Cades Cove, a lush valley surrounded by mountains that is accessible via an 11-mile, one-way loop road. Home to a variety of wildlife, this area also features many historic buildings dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Scattered throughout the cove are a grist mill, a marvelous collection of log homes, outbuildings, and barns, and three churches including Cades Cove Missionary Baptist Church which was founded in 1839.
