(Center photo) A strenuous, 4-mile hike leads to 100-foot Ramsey Cascades, the tallest waterfall in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. (Clockwise from upper left hand corner) Located in Tremont, 30-foot SPRUCE FLAT FALLS features a beautiful plunge pool. A hiking trail separates the upper and lower sections of 80-foot LAUREL FALLS. Deep Creek is home to three waterfalls including 25-foot INDIAN CREEK FALLS. A rainbow produced by mist from 80-foot RAINBOW FALLS is visible on sunny afternoons. MOUSE CREEK FALLS cascades 45 feet into the swift moving waters of Big Creek. The Trillium Gap Trail meanders through an old-growth hemlock forest along its route to 25-foot Grotto Falls. Though only 20 feet high, ABRAMS FALLS features a large volume of water that thunders into a deep pool at its base.
